Charleston Native Launches Holy Automation — An AI Agency Built for Businesses That Will Never Have a Tech Department

Press Release · July 23, 2026

HC Studio LLC announces the launch of Holy Automation, an AI agent agency headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, deploying production AI agents that handle the phones, scheduling, dispatch, and back-office work so local businesses can focus on the work itself.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — July 23, 2026 — Holy Automation, a new Charleston-based AI agency founded by local native Hunter Culberson, announced its official launch today. The company builds and deploys production AI agents — always-on digital workers that handle customer calls, schedule appointments, manage dispatch, process invoices, and follow up with leads — so that small and mid-sized businesses can operate with the infrastructure of a much larger company, at a fraction of the cost of hiring.

"Most Charleston businesses will never have a tech department," said Culberson. "The roofing company with three crews. The vet clinic with two doctors. The HVAC shop that runs 24/7 in August. They don't need software — they need someone to answer the phone at 7 p.m. when their dispatcher went home. That's what we build."

Holy Automation's model is straightforward: each client gets a dedicated AI agent — not a chatbot, not a template, not an off-the-shelf tool with the client's logo slapped on it. An actual production agent, configured to the client's specific business, trained on their workflows, and deployed on hardware the client owns. The company describes the relationship as a retained partnership, not a software subscription.

"The word 'agent' gets thrown around a lot right now," Culberson added. "Most of what's out there is a ChatGPT wrapper with a different skin. That's not what we do. We build agents that are embedded in the operation — they know the client's pricing, their service area, their tone. They don't sound like a robot because they're not one. They're an extension of the business."

Holy Automation's initial clients span home services, change management consulting, and the trades — HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors in the Lowcountry and beyond. The company operates on a BYOA (Bring Your Own API Key) model: clients own their data and their infrastructure. Holy Automation builds, tunes, and maintains the agent.

Pricing starts at $500 per month for voice and dispatch agents, with setup fees determined by the complexity of the integration. The company currently operates from Charleston with a team that includes operational leadership and AI systems engineers.

Founded in 2026 by Hunter Culberson — an artist, former professor at Otis College of Art and Design, and Charleston native — the company builds and deploys dedicated AI agents that handle customer calls, scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, lead follow-up, and back-office automation for small and mid-sized businesses. Holy Automation's agents are production systems, not prototypes: they answer the phone, book the job, and follow up, operating as the tech department for businesses that will never have one.
