About Holy Automation

We started in a contractor’s office.
Then it became a company.

Fourteen years of creative leadership in Los Angeles. Then the right problem, in the right city, at the right time.

— The origin

Fourteen years in LA.
Then the right idea.

Charleston is home. Hunter Culberson was born in the Lowcountry and spent fourteen years in Los Angeles — founder and operator across multiple tech startups, creative director on campaigns for SpaceX, Adidas, and the City of LA, and a professor at Otis College of Art and Design. Then he came home to build something worth building.

That teaching instinct — making the overwhelming understandable — became the foundation of how he works with clients today.

One contractor. One pile of paperwork. A problem solved so thoroughly that it became a company.

His first client was a local general contractor buried in paperwork. Within weeks, the systems Hunter built caught $787,000 in bookkeeping errors and eliminated over 40 hours of manual work per month. The contractor didn’t need a CTO. He needed a tech department that showed up, understood his business, and stayed.

Today, Holy Automation works with small businesses across the country. We embed with your operation, build the intelligence layer, and stay on retainer for as long as you run the company. Hunter is not a technologist who learned business. He is a business builder who picked up the best tools available.

— What we believe

Four things that shape every engagement.

— I

Business first. Technology second.

We do not start with what AI can do. We start with what your business needs done. The tools change every quarter. The problems don’t. Every system we build is designed around the work — not around the platform.

— II

Teach, not just deploy.

Fourteen years as a professor. That instinct carries into every engagement. We make sure you and your team understand what’s running, why it matters, and how to get the most from it. You are never dependent on us to understand your own systems.

— III

Embed and stay.

We are not consultants who build a thing and disappear. Setup is enrollment. The retainer is tenure. We tune, expand, and add new agents as your business grows. The relationship is what you hire.

— IV

Built for the thirty-three million.

Thirty-three million businesses in this country. Almost none of them will ever hire a CTO, build an engineering team, or rebuild their stack from scratch. The giants spending billions on AI are not coming to help them. We are.

Every company needs a tech department.
Most will never build one.

Thy will be automated.
